THYYUB SAB SCHOOL
MADARSA E RIFAH E AAM (THYYUB SAB SCHOOL) MELVISHARAM
Madarsa E Rifah E Aam
Janab
Mana Muna Abdul Kareem Sahib (Son of Mana Muna Mohammed Hasan Sahib)
established Madarsa E Rifah E Aam at No. 2, S.H.A Street adjacent to the
Pakthini mosque. The Madarsa was started on 28th September 1980 with a dua by
Hazrath Moulana Abu Savood Sahib. (Former Ameer E Shariat, Karnataka). Hazrath
Moulana Hafiz Mohammed Thyoob Sahib (son of Hazrath Moulana Nayyar Rabbani
Sahib Rah) was its’ first teacher.
Children
of kinder-garden level studied and the core syllabi was the Holy Quran (Nazira)
Masnoon Dua, Basic Urdu, English, Tamil and maths. This was a full time school.
I studied here during 1984-87 along with my neighbours. Zaheer Hazrath (Janab T.K. Hafiz Zaheer Ahmed) and Ameen Hazrath (Janab T. K. Ameen Ahmed Sahib) were our teachers. Janab Mustafa Sahib also served in this Madarsa. My classmates and I still cherish the memories of learning Arabic, English, Maths, Babul Quran, Zarooratul Muslimeen, and Masnoon dua recited loudly in unison. Janab Musa Sahib, the watchman of this Madarsa, would pick up us from our homes and often escort us to school, even when we cried and wept.
My seniors studied under Thyub Sahib Hazrath. During his tenure, the Madarsa became
familiar as ‘Thyyub Sab School’. The Madarsa had a good enrolment of students
divided into three sections. The foundation courses that we studied here helped
a lot for further education.
Over
the years, the Madarsa had a good number of students, until the rise of English medium nurseries led to its closure. The
management maintained it efficiently till 2005. Since then, only Maktab classes
have been held after Maghrib. Many scholars served in this Madarsa. For the
past fifteen years Hazrath Moulana Hafiz Aimandi Anwarul Haq Sahib have been
conducting classes.
The
Madarsa was supervised by Anjuman-e-Rifah-e-Aam. Janab Abdul Kareem Sahib
(founder), Janab Vaverthar Mohammed Athaullah Sahib, Janab Abdullah Jameel
Sahib, Janab Yarthakar Nazeer Ahmed Sahib, Janab Vadakatti Mushtaque Ahmed
Sahib, Janab Abdullah Nisar Ahmed Sahib and Janab Kalavai Abdul Jaleel Sahib
were some of its members.
With
an intention of reviving the Madarsa, in December 2024, Moulana Merajul Hasan
Sahib (Grandson of Mana Muna Abdul Kareem Sahib) started Quran revision program
for the Huffaz. Before the construction
of Jamath Office opposite to Pakthini Mosque in 2013, all the important
meetings of Ahle Sunnath Lababeen Jamath were held in this Madarsa. In 2008,
Janab Mana Muna Abdul Kareem Sahib donated this Madarsa building to Qaumi
Baitul Mal which also functions in Rifah E Aam Complex. It also accommodates Edara
E Noorul Huda and Masalihat Committee. Insha Allah, a brief history of these
organisations will be shared later. May
Allah reward them all.
