Education is key to individual
development. It enables people to live a cultured life in the society. It makes
a person aware of his rights and duties and helps him in becoming a responsible
citizen.
Team VserV -Establishment
There are countless children who are
deprived of this virtue from generation to generation due to various reasons.
VserV is a group established in 2019 with an aim to support the poor students
of Melvisharam to pursue their studies. Our town (also known as Madinatul
Ilm City of Knowledge) houses numerous Islamic and Secular institutions
from kindergarten to the collegiate level. Here people from across the state
throng to acquire seats in these centres of learning. By the grace of Almighty,
there are many NGOs active in supporting the needy students.
In spite of all these facilities,
there are students who have never been to any of these institutions or forgo
their learning in halfway for up keeping their poverty stricken family. Our team adapts unique way to handle this
situation.
Services
Our volunteers pay visit to slum
areas and create awareness on the importance of education. One to one
counselling to students, counselling parents to send their wards to the school.
To make learning more exciting, we conduct drawing, painting and quiz
competitions in their locality as well as in the school and reward them with
compliments. This method helps us to
pick skilled and deserving student beneficiaries.
Apart from
financial assistance, we monitor the students’ progress in studies and provide
support in academic matters. Basic language skills are also taught to the
students. Islamic Scholars who are part of our team, eagerly participate in
these endeavours and teach Islamic values to the students. After completion of
schooling we also fund them to join arts, science and technical courses in
various institutions. These college going youngsters are further assisted in acquiring part time jobs to make
themselves self- reliant. After completion of studies, we also provide job assistance.
As the saying goes ‘A sound mind in a
sound body’ V serv team is very keen in creating health awareness and exercise
habits among the youngsters by organising cycling and jogging initiatives.
Organising Career guidance programs
for 12th standard and
motivational classes are also a part of our service agenda. In past, we have honoured school toppers in
public exams.
Our Future Goals
According to a recent survey, our
town is home to over 100 children struggling with both learning and physical
disabilities. Their parents encounter numerous challenges in raising and
educating these exceptional children.
As the Care centres are predominantly located
in urban areas, it is inaccessible to the underprivileged. Even the middle and
upper classes encounter difficulty to gain access to these facilities. Hence
with a view to address this issue we are planning to open a care centre for the
well-being of these special children. We request all of you to pray for
success.
Our second ambition is to create
healthcare awareness in women and girls of our community.
Appeal To Extend a
Helping Hand
Insha Allah all our dreams will be
materialized in near future. Dear
brothers in Islam, our team is working with limited financial resources as it
is underfunded. It is earnest appeal to our brothers to fund our organization
generously with zakath and other charities to meet the expenses and serve the
needy. We are very thankful to Allah for
giving us opportunity to work for the community, May Allah with His infinite Mercy
accept all our good deeds and give better rewards to us and to all who
assist both morally and financially.
